Upgrades

Wether your company has a 30 year old Inil Autocapper or a newer Capson machine, these upgrades are designed to fit the entire family of CH1400 series machines we have produced over the years. These upgrade packs can reduce changeover times, reduce operator error, catch out setup problems, improve output and even enable remote support

Servo controlled gate

If you run multiple pack sizes down your CH based line, you are familiar with the manually adjusted spacing gate. This upgrade make the spacing process automatic, repeatable and reliable. The gate is always in the right place for the selected pack size. This system can be further enhanced to provide automatic temperature compensation for soft plastics.

Electronic Air Control

Compressed air has one of the highest operating costs in industry. Upgrading an older CH series capper from pilot valves to electronic can drop air consumption by as much as 70%, increase serviceability and reduce ambient operational noise significantly. Timings can also be adjusted without having maintenance staff climb ladders to access the top of the machine and dangerous moving parts.

Servo height control

Most CH series cappers through to 2019 were designed with a manual head height adjustment. Changing pack size was a tweak and try exercise. The new servo drive height system allows for automatic height adjustment and push button changes during operation without the operator having to walk to the rear of the machine and leave their station unattended.

Safety Guards

Current WHSA regulations make a company director liable for employee safety. We now have a range of operator safety guards, controls and systems which can be installed on older machines that did not require them at the time. Welded from stainless steel and covered by shatter proof polycarbonate the guards keep your staff 300mm from pinch points and hazards. Coupled with an upgraded SICK safety controller your machine will comply with current safety regulations and keep staff safe.

Electronics package update

Everything is touch screen these days. Upgrading your CH series capper to touch screen allows for improved user experience. When coupled with the servo gate and height upgrade, changeover times are greatly reduced. Operator error is reduced and adjustments can be locked out for only team managers to access. Identifying problems is easier with a simple Red/Green status page.

SEW Spindle

Intelligent spindle drive

Adjusting the cap application torque can be a difficult task on some older machines fitted with a magnetic or ContiTorque style clutch units. We can retrofit a new SEW intelligent servo spindle coupled with the advanced MDX series programmable inverter drive which can test output torque and can be easily adjusted without stopping the machine or even opening the safety doors. Great for capping in out of best practice conditions like cold weather.
