CH1400C Automatic ‘Pick and Place’ capper
The original CH1400 series automatic capping machine was engineered and built over 30 years ago, many of which are still operating, some of them at 24 hours a day. Built on a welded stainless steel chassis and fitted with quality components these machines are built to both perform and last. The design has come through the ages and we have modernized many of the older technologies and adapted it to suit modern safety standards and features. The CH1400C uses a mechanical cam to control it’s physical motions and steps, ensuring everything stays in sequence, making it easy to maintain and service in remote locations and sites without a maintenance fitter. The upgraded G2 systems include SIL3 safety, reduced power consumption, reduced air consumption along with a significant reduction in operating noise.
The current CH1400C-G2 series capper now features
50mm x 50mm Stainless steel welded chassis
Allen-Bradley or SIEMENS PLC and 6 inch HMI touch screen
SICK safety controller, 10,000 line precision rotary encoder, dual channel doors safety, sensors
SEW-Eurodrive variable speed drives
IMI-Norgren pneumatic controls and cylinders
Suitable for 200mL to 20Lt containers with process speeds up to 60 packs per minute (depending on closure limits)
Stainless steel safety guards 300mm from pinch points and user hazards
Electronic capping head height adjustment
Mechanical torque limiting clutch (Magnetic or ContiTorque variable style)
Each machine is delivered with one set of change parts which includes a set of bottle clamps, capping chuck, cap button, cap chute and a sorting wheel.
